CHRISTMAS

We had a wonderful Christmas this year, we were able to be with both our families which was great. But what made this Christmas so special was having Sadie there! Even though she slept through both Christmas mornings with both families, just having a child for Christmas was magical! We spent the 24th and 25th with the Smiths and 26th and 27th with the Fords. We had so much fun with both families. We decorated sugar cookies, had great food, played games, and just talked and laughed. Some of the highlights for me were Sadie's matching PJ's at the Smith's with all of the granddaughters, Camille falling down the stairs on Christmas morning and Sam's reaction on the video, Grandma Smiths face as she opened her new stovetop, shopping on the 26th with my Mom and Val and getting all of the good deals - Val running with her shopping cart at Target because she was so excited, Carsons excitement for everyones gifts not just his, reading the new Christmas book with the Fords, watching Sadie play on her new tummy mat and gym mat. Here are a few of my favorite pictures!

Wonderful Friends

Just before Christmas I was able to get together with my some of my friends for a Christmas breakfast. My cute friend Jena was in from Cincinnati, it was so great to see her, I miss her so so much. My friends Tiffany and Megan also came, I was so happy to see them too! We had so much fun together and it made me realize how lucky I am so have such wonderful friends and made me wish we got to see each other more often!

Sadie's First Smiles

How could my life not be great when I get to look at this all day! We love her SO much!

Gingerbread Houses

Every year on Thanksgiving weekend we get together with Devin's family to have a gingerbread house competition. It seems to be getting harder with all of the grandkids and it was getting a little too competitive, so we decided this year to not make it a competition and to just have fun building house. Though I did miss the trash talk it was nice to not have the pressure of the competition. Sadie pretty much slept through the whole thing, when there is a lot of noise around we can not seem to keep her awake. We hope that this means she will nap well when we are at Disney World with my family after Christmas. It was fun to be able to spend the day with Smith's.

I thought this picture of Benson and Camille playing the piano was just so cute!

Happy Birthday Devin

Yesterday was Devin's Birthday, he turned 25! He thinks that 25 sounds so old, but I don't agree I think it still sounds pretty young - yesterday he said to me "I am half way to 50!" On Sunday we celebrated Devin and my brothers birthday and next Sunday we are celebrating with Devin's family, so it is a week of celebrations! Though last night we had a little party just with our family. I made pumpkin cake, Devin's favorite, put up a banner, and Sadie (with mom's help) decorated a shirt that said "Happy Birthday Daddy." I am truly grateful for Devin and am thankful everyday that he was born! He is such an amazing husband and father and our lives are so blessed because of him - HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WE LOVE YOU!

Cute Pictures of Sadie!!

Being a new mom I can't seem to get enough pictures of Sadie, I always have my camera handy! Here a few that I love.
